Facts about the European Car Museum

No museum beats The European Car Museum when it comes to The Golden Age of Cars. That it is a simple fact. But the European Car Museum is much more than the biggest collection af cars from the fifties.

We tell our guests the history of civilization - about an era when industrial production increased year by year and the man on the street got a share of the cake. The fleet of cars increased explosively, but the moped and the motor cycles became common consumer goods too - and clockwork toys and ....

The showroom is crowdet to bursting point with motor cycles, mopeds, tools, toy cars, booklets, posters, wall sheets and more than 100 vehicles.

Part of the museum is furnished with tables and chairs where you can have a coke, an
icecream, a sandwich or sweets which are all obtainable from our kiosk, you are also welcome to eat your food.....

Velo Solex

Classic Velo Solex moped from the fifties.

Danish manufactured dream car and caravan. The car is a prototype, but was never put into production.

Variogear from DAF.

Milliongear developed by the D.A.F. Factories. It's a brilliant variable wedge drive transmission system handed by two pedals.
The gear is called a variomaticgear too.

DAF with the nickname "The Flying Dutchman". Because of the transmission system it was claimed to be the greatest technical evetn since the Second World War.

The car was manufactured in Holland and the model is from 1959 and had a maximum speed of 110 km/h.
